Day 4: Sometimes the day just stinks

That’s it. Sometimes a day is just rough, whether that’s personal or work or writing or something else. Sometimes it’s because of circumstances outside my control. Sometimes it’s stuff I could have controlled and didn’t. Sometimes I just mess up.

Today is one of those days and I’m not sure what to learn from it.

That’s not true, I can think of at least one thing:

Listen more, talk less.

I’m a talkative person. I’m a teacher and explainer at heart. I fall in the “challenger” category of one popular personality test. None of those are excuses to over-talk and under-listen. Especially when it hurts those I love.

So that’s all. I’m going to listen more and talk less.
