Still alive!
Nano ended up just fine, though I didn’t hit 50K by the 31st. I hit it in the first week of December then took the rest of the month to focus on personal things and the holidays with my family.
I’ve picked up my draft again and plan to have it finished and the second draft completed by March 31st. So it’s back to habits, routines, and the mindset needed to get this work done.
Of course, I still haven’t answered that “Why” question fully, though I’ve come closer in my own personal musings. I’ll write about it here in a week or so, once I’ve fully fleshed it out. Then, I plan to begin talking about the actual story I’m writing, the one I intend to publish before August, 2025.
It feels scary, but good, to type that. To see it written. To commit to it “publicly” in a way. I’ve told my family, who are so supportive. But this is it, this is the promise: I’ll publish a book before or by August 1st, 2025.
